Abraham’s Tent is proud to offer Sharmallison Scholarships to fund college tuition for eligible students in the U.S. and Guyana.
Education: The Foundation of a Progressive Society
Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and succeed in their passion. We at Abraham’s Tent are dedicated to ensuring this possibility.
Padmanee Sharma, MD, PhD and her family began working on Abraham’s Tent in 2016. Dr. Sharma was born and raised in Guyana until the age of 10, when she emigrated with her parents and sibling to the U.S. Having seen the disparity in education among those who could afford private tuition and those who could not, Dr. Sharma vowed that she would one day do something to change this.
That day has come.
Dr. Sharma and her husband, Dr. James Allison, recently launched the Sharmallison Scholarship Program under Abraham's Tent to provide funding for higher education for economically disadvantaged students in Guyana and the United States.
